A certified professional trained and authorized to plan and execute the lifting, suspension, and securing of overhead loads at a trade show venue or event facility. Riggers are responsible for selecting appropriate hardware, calculating load capacities, attaching motors and cables to venue ceiling points, and ensuring that all suspended elements are safely and securely installed. In most convention centers and arenas, rigging is an exclusive jurisdiction and all riggers working in the building must be employed by or approved by the house rigging contractor.
