A structural column within a venue that contains or provides access to electrical, data, compressed air, or plumbing utilities for exhibitors on the show floor. Utility columns are fixed elements of the venue infrastructure and their locations on the show floor are documented in the venue’s floor plan. Booth spaces assigned adjacent to or incorporating a utility column require careful design coordination to integrate or conceal the column within the exhibit structure while maintaining access to the utilities within.
