A freestanding support structure used to elevate and display a product, sculpture, award, or decorative object at a specified height within an exhibit or permanent installation. Pedestals are fabricated in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and materials and may incorporate internal lighting, power access, or locking storage. In exhibit design, pedestal placement and height are determined by the viewing angle and sightline requirements of the displayed object and the overall traffic flow of the space.
