The system of electrical components, including power strips, distribution boxes, extension cables, and circuit breakers, used to route and deliver electrical power from the venue’s service drop to individual devices, lighting fixtures, and equipment within an exhibit or event space. Power distribution planning ensures that all devices receive appropriate voltage and amperage, that circuits are not overloaded, and that cables are routed safely and in compliance with show regulations. A well-designed power distribution plan is developed during the exhibit design phase and submitted as part of the electrical service order.
