A rigging method in which loads are assembled, attached, and prepared for lifting at floor level before being raised to their final overhead position. Ground rigging is the standard approach for hanging signs, lighting trusses, and overhead exhibit elements and allows riggers to work safely and efficiently before the load is elevated. Once the ground rigging is complete and inspected, the load is raised using chain motors or other lifting equipment to the specified hang height.
