A lighting technique in which LED light sources are positioned along the edge of a transparent or translucent panel, typically acrylic, allowing light to travel through the material and illuminate graphics, text, or decorative elements applied to the surface. Edge lit panels are used in exhibit and permanent installation environments for signage, menu boards, display cases, and architectural features where a slim profile and even illumination are desired.
