The service of transporting exhibit materials from the loading dock or advanced warehouse to the exhibitor’s assigned booth space on the show floor, and returning empty containers to storage during the show. Drayage is provided exclusively by the show’s official general contractor and is one of the most significant and commonly misunderstood line items in an exhibitor’s show services budget. The term is also used to refer to material handling more broadly.
