A rigging method in which a load is suspended vertically from a fixed overhead point using a straight, static line with no motors, bridles, or angled pulls. Deadhangs are used for hanging signs, banners, and lightweight overhead elements where a fixed, non-adjustable suspension point is sufficient. Load capacity and attachment point integrity must be verified before any deadhang installation.
