An international customs document that permits the temporary importation of exhibit materials, equipment, and product samples into a foreign country without payment of duties or taxes. Carnets must be properly itemized, stamped at each border crossing, and returned with all listed goods to avoid financial penalties. Also referred to as an ATA Carnet.
