A designated rigging point or batten in a venue’s fly system from which hanging elements such as signs, banners, drape, and lighting can be suspended. Line sets are part of the permanent infrastructure of theatrical venues, arenas, and some convention centers and are assigned to exhibitors or event producers by the house rigging contractor. The number, spacing, and weight capacity of available line sets determine what can be hung and where within a given venue.
