The rigging services provided exclusively by the venue’s in-house rigging contractor, which in most convention centers and arenas is the only entity authorized to attach loads to the building’s ceiling structure. House riggers inspect all hanging elements, approve rigging plans, set motors and cables from the ceiling, and are responsible for the structural integrity of all overhead installations. Exhibitors and exhibit houses must work within the house rigging contractor’s scheduling, weight limits, and procedural requirements for all hanging sign and overhead element installations.
